Exciting : )

Very anxious for the news conference tonight on the big selection for LeBron.  I'm far from being his biggest fan but it would be nice to have some closure of what seems to be one of the most important sporting events of the year...right after the World Cup.  I really hope all of this attention generates a lot of capital for the Boys and Girls Club of America and that some of the kids that attend the club get a chance to ask L.J. questions during the conference. 

This incident reminds me of the time that Kathy and I were both waiting to be drafted...it was a few years ago.  The California Harheads had approached both of us with multi-million dollar contracts and during a brief encounter at a West Orange Rite Aid I 'tripped' and dislocated my left shoulder while tearing my right ACL.  Kathy was a shoe-in for the Cali. team and held a huge news conference after 3-wks of promoting her motivational book "I TOO CAN TYPE" to announce that she would turn down the contract and accept a postion as a member of the NY Lady Sharks.  Typical.  (for more info on tune in to The Dig with Hamza Khan and TMAC 24 about this old school rivalry).
